looking at a late july early august date, so clear your calenders! we had 6 teams last year and 2 more that didn't make the deadline...so I'm starting early to ensure we have all the teams together that want to be there!

Entrance fee will be around what it was last year, depending on how many teams/people we get.
Improvements from last year:
better jerseys this year : looking into 70's style quarter-sleeve jerseys with BIG NAMES/NUMBERS
qualified umpires (my buddies stepped in last minute and patrick-93X did a good job on the champ game) same rules for every game
possible catering, depending on how many people show
partnering with a bar for drink specials after the tourney again. Last year the bar owner of stasius died 2 days before the tournament and all the specials I got lined up for us were nulled when the place closed shortly after
FENCES and softer game balls to ensure there isn't a homerun derby going on
*Teams who express interest early get early byes in the tournament and other fun stuff I haven't decided on quite yet!

Malmstrom's out this year, since he's moving to Austin. You can have his roster spot. There will be some more turnover on the roster, but I think the core will remain similar.

as it turns out all my band members can't stand softball. lame. nevermind.
I am putting together a spring squad with a bunch of friends of mine.
I am up for this! How does it work, would I need to put together an OBCT team or would one of you like to sop up some of our extreme talent!? It would just be me and maybe our drummer if he wants to, and I have a few other guys from bands on the squad.
The more teams the better - try and assemble a full squad if you can!
So is this just a single weekend kind of thing then? Tournament?

Yep, the past two were just a single day, double elimination tournament. Kevin briefly mentioned doing a two dayer for this year during the last tourney, but that could be tough for us out-of-shapers.
